The hot rolled strip production line expansion project of Tata Steel Holland's Emeryden plant was put into operation

Tata Steel Holland's IJmuiden hot rolled strip production line expansion project started production, with a focus on additional strip quality checkpoints, which is unique in its type of production line.

It is reported that the quality check point can fully automatic sampling of conventional varieties and various varieties of ultra-high strength steel, sampling thickness of up to 25 mm. The quality check point can take the sample out of the hot state, increasing the number of volumes that can be sampled.

In order to meet customer quality requirements for steel, as well as relevant international standards that require individual testing of each coil of steel (or small batch samples) to ensure steel performance, rapid sampling and testing are essential. The plant's new quality check point can quickly test steel performance and inspect and certify each roll of steel, reducing the development and delivery cycle of new steel. In addition, the addition of this quality check point enhances the position of the Emeryden plant in the market for thicker, stronger and more wear-resistant hot rolled strip.
