Spiral submerged arc welding(SSAW) pipes

Spiral submerged arc (SSAW) pipe is forward direction and forming tube centerline hose reel molding angle (adjustable), side molding edge welding and weld them into a spiral, the advantage of the same specification of steel plate to produce a variety of diameter sizes steel pipe. The raw materials to adapt to a wider range, the weld can avoid the main stress force better, the disadvantage is the poor geometry of the weld length compared to the long straight seam pipe, prone to cracking, porosity, slag, welding partial welding defects such as welding stress was tensile stress state. General Oil and Gas Pipeline design specification spiral submerged arc pipes are used for most of the region. it is a traditional steel pipe production and cheaper than other type of pipes.

API 5L X52 Line Pipes are manufactured as per specifications established by American Petroleum Institute (API). API 5L is a specification of API which defines the standard for the dimension, physical, mechanical and chemical properties of the steel.

API 5L Grade X52 pipe is produced Welded & Seamless both, The most common welded pipe for large diameter in X52 is SSAW Pipe.
